Highlighting the 2008 JLARC review of State employee salaries and retirement, health, and other benefits.
In November 2006, the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission approved a resolution for its staff to study compensation for employees of the Commonwealth. JLARC staff procured analytical and consulting support from PricewaterhouseCoopers and Mercer to assist with the review. Additional assistance was provided by the Department of Human Resource Management and the Virginia Retirement System. The final report was presented to the Commission at its October 14, 2008, meeting.
