Virginia Compared to the Other States
Periodically, JLARC staff publish a comparative reference of state statistics and rankings. Measures include population, personal income, revenues, taxes, employment, tuition at State universities, and many others.
Review of State Employee Total Compensation
Materials related to the 2008 JLARC review of State employee compensation are available on this feature page. Documents include the final staff report, Commission briefings, data from the survey of State employees and agencies, and the supporting work by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Mercer.
Future of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel
In 2002, JLARC completed a review of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. The review focused on the economic impact of the facililty on the Eastern Shore, organization and staffing, maintenance, police operations, and financing for operations and capital improvements including future parallel tunnels. Revolutionary War Gravesites in Virginia
In 2001, JLARC completed a review of the care and maintenance of burial sites of Revolutionary War veterans.
